New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Sara,

Ok.  Gotcha.  I just quickly tried the download button and get the same thing so I'll be able to fix it.  I'll look into this in a bit and will get back to you.

Terry

thank you so much! that is great explanation of options!

Line,

I hope the hat fibers won't felt (full) when it's washed!  Surprised

As for making it longer, how about either continuing the rows in a slightly different stitch (perhaps not the back loop or front loop ribbing) or making it as more of a brimmed cap with the addition?

Glad you're on your winter break!  Kiss  I remember how I used to look forward to days off from school...even a few can make it bearable!

Nice, glad you're getting some alone time!  (Sorry you have schoolwork to do, though.)  Kindergarten is only when you choose to send the kids?  Here, kindergarten is where the kids go every day for most of a year until they get into first grade.

Enjoy your winter break!  Kiss

Hugs,
Melanie

I have been a long time crocheter who could not learn to knit before [I'm a lefty]; I tried the looms and loved them, and then by using youtube videos and such, taught myself to needle knit, too.  I don't think I would have ever [re]tried to learn how to needle knit except for learning how to do it on the looms.

And now, due to hand / joint pain, sometimes the only thing I can do is loom knit.

Hello,

My name is Debbie and I just joined the Stitchboard website. I retired early to care for my live-in mother who has COPD.  I have a husband, two dogs and a boom-er-rang son who lives with us more than not.

I do "a bit" of several things but nothing to perfection.  Right now I am cross-stitching stamped kitchen towel sets for Christmas gift giving.   People don't sew much these days and I thought it would be nice to give something that I spent time on.

I took a sewing class in junior-high and made a few outfits.  This year, I canned my first batch of Pickled Watermellon Rind Pickles!  In the past I have completed a couple of small-ish sized "counted cross stitch" pictures, two "stitch and stuff" rabbits and five sets of stamped kitchen Christmas towel sets.      I do some crocheting (afghans mostly), some straight-line beading like bracelets and necklaces, I attempted a quilted baby blanket, I did some tied-fleece blankets and other misc. light-weight craft dabbling. I am interested in learning more about all crafts in general.   I would love to get better at cross-stitching and crocheting.  Would love to learn to quilt, make soap, can food and play my harmonica, dulcimer and ukulele.  I am a jack-of-all crafts.... Master of none, kinda girl.   I am happy to receive instruction on improving my stitching skills so HELLO and nice to be here!    Smiley
